Men’s Ministry

Men at St. Matthew are encouraged to support Lutheran Laymen’s League activities. Lutheran Layman’s League is the organization which supports the world-wide radio mission, The Lutheran Hour.

Altar Guild

Third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm of September, November, February, and April. The objectives of the Guild are to care for the sanctuary of the church, to be custodians of the Altar linens and caring for our communion vessels.

Fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm

The mission of LWML is to assist each woman…in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enables to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.

Our meetings include a variety of programs including guest speakers, a Valentine tea, a Mother-Daughter banquet, Bible Studies, Christmas party, and a wind-up Seniors’ picnic in June. The proceeds from our “mite boxes” go to various mission projects. We also raise money by serving lunches at funerals of our fellow members. We all share in a common faith and love of our Lord and Saviour and for our fellow man. We extend a sincere invitation to all ladies of our congregation to join our enthusiastic group.

Moms and Tots Group

Thursdays at 10:00 am

All moms with children at home are invited to join. Doors open at 9:30 am. The mom’s program runs from 10:00-11:00 am. Group coordinator: Rhonda.

Women in the Word

Wednesdays at 10:00 am – September to May

Ladies’ Bible Study group meets every Wednesday morning for discussion, Bible study, prayer, and sharing.

Service Times & Directions

There are two regular services:

Early Sunday Morning: 8:00 am. This service is very personal, contemplative and devotional.

Sunday Morning: 10:30 am. There is a children's message and music at the beginning, at which time the children are dismissed for Kid’s Power Hour, a education hour for children 3-10 and the Nursery, a supervised play room for children 0-3.

For all services there is a fully functional "Cry Room" for young children, which is completely stocked with child care amenities.

All worship services are held in the sanctuary. Holy Communion is celebrated on the second and fourth Sunday of each month at the late service, on the first and third Sunday at the early service, at both services on the fifth Sunday.

Summer Worship Services: 9:30 a.m, with Holy Communion offered each week.

Advent Worship Service:Wednesday Evenings 7:30 PM during Advent.

Christmas Eve Worship (December 24): 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

Christmas Day Worship (December 25): 10:30 AM with Holy Communion
